Gary & Emily King

Gary and Emily met about 15 years ago at a restaurant in Chelsea - he was a sous chef, she was a pastry chef. (Every good relationship needs balance, right?) Both are classically trained: Gary studied French and Italian cuisines, while Emily honed her craft in French pastry-making and even staged in Paris for six months.

After years in fine dining, they decided to bring that same level of expertise to something we all love but rarely see done right: bagels.

From Award-Winning to Your Neighborhood

At their first location, Ridgefield Bagels and Bakes, Gary and Emily's dedication paid off when customers voted them #1 Best Bagels in Fairfield County and #2 all of Connecticut.

That's what happens when classically trained chefs obsess over bagels for years.
